1 Sept, 6-10pm, £12 / £10
Taking inspiration from Cristofano Allori’s Judith, join us for a night celebrating deadly females, dangerous women and queen bees.
We’ll be joined by Alice Wroe, founder of Herstory, to discover the unsung 'sheroes' of history. Women like Ching Shih, the deadliest pirate on the Red Sea.
In the Pavilion, Wild Life Drawing will be hosting a drawing class with a difference and introducing us to animal species where the female rules the roost - including tree frogs and tarantulas!
We'll be taking a closer look at the woman in our Collection with a not-so-serious feminist tour with Iszi Lawrence (BBC Radio 4 Making History, British Museum Membercast) and a discussion on the 'Femme Fatale'. |
