Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 12-13 August, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

Events in central and east London |
|
|
Until Sunday, the IAAF World Championships are taking place in Stratford and central London. Services to and from Stratford and key interchange stations will be busier than usual before and after the events. Roads in the St James’s Park area in central London will be closed from 06:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday, due to an event taking place on Sunday.

On Sunday, there will be no service between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, due to Network Rail track work. |

Tonight, Thursday, there will be no service between Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:30, due to Network Rail track work.
All weekend, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018.

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations due to Network Rail track work: |

| • | New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon |

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:
South London - Until March next year, there are various lane closures on A23 Brixton Road between Camberwell New Road and Vassall Road. This is for utility works.
Bromley - Until early September, temporary traffic signals will be in place on A21 Bromley Common at the junction of Hayes Lane. This is for utility works.
London Bridge - From midnight on Friday night until 05:00 on Monday, Tooley Street will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. This is for Network Rail work.
Central London - From midday until 16:00 on Saturday, there will be delays to traffic and road closures on Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Pall Mall East, Trafalgar Square, and Whitehall. This is for a march.
Ealing - From 09:45 until 14:00 on Sunday, there will be delays to traffic and road closures in the area, including Uxbridge Road, Culmington Road, Mattock Lane and Chapel Road. This is for a procession.
Islington - From Wednesday until early November, A1 Islington High Street/Upper Street will be closed southbound between Liverpool Road and City Road. This is for Thames Water works. For full details, including affected bus routes, please visit tfl.gov.uk/upper-street-works
