Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 19-20 August, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

Trains will not run between Plaistow and Dagenham East while we carry out track replacement work at Barking. |

There will be no service between Plaistow and Barking. This is to allow us to replace track at East Ham.

All weekend, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018.

There will be no service between Westferry and Island Gardens, via Canary Wharf, due to track work.

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:
Wembley - From 13:00 until 20:00 on Sunday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.
Central London - Until 23:00 on 27 August, Whitehall is closed southbound. There is no access to Parliament Square or Bridge Street. This is for utility works. For full details, please visit tfl.gov.uk/parliament-square-works
Islington - Until early November, Upper Street is closed southbound between Liverpool Road and City Road. There is also no access from Liverpool Road. This is for Thames Water works. For full details, please visit tfl.gov.uk/upper-street-works
Advance notice: London Bridge - From 01:00 on Saturday 26 August until 05:00 on Tuesday 29 August, Tooley Street will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. This is for Network Rail work.

Waterloo station improvement work - Until Monday 28 August, some Tube, rail and bus services in southwest London will be much busier than usual, due to Network Rail’s improvement works at Waterloo station. For full details and to know your travel options, visit tfl.gov.uk/waterloo-works
Thameslink programme works - From Saturday 26 August until Saturday 2 September, Southeastern trains will not serve Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge stations while Network Rail carries out improvement works as part of the Thameslink programme. Fewer Southeastern trains will run and all services will be busier. Cannon Street and Victoria stations will be exceptionally busy with queuing systems in place. | • | Grafton Street, Bruton Street and Norton Folgate, for utility works |
