London Craft Week online talk - hear our redevelopment story Oct 6, 5PM | Free but ticketed The reopening of The Courtauld Gallery is a project that is three years in the making.  Completing a complex transformation within a historic building is far from straightforward.  Join architect Stephen Witherford, the lead project director from Witherford Watson Mann architects, as he explores how a major building project progresses from concept to completion, in this online talk as part of London Craft Week.  Learn more

Susan Schwalb: Metalpoint artworks join the collection View online now  The Courtauld has acquired eight drawings by the American artist Susan Schwalb (b.1944), one of the foremost figures in the revival of the metalpoint technique.  The new acquisitions represent Schwalb's career from the earliest Parchment (4/V/81) of 1981 to Harmonizations #3 of 2017. The works are a significant addition to The Courtauld's small collection of metalpoint drawings, enhancing the representation of female, as well as American, artists in the gallery's collection of contemporary works.
