Weekend travel information

If you are out and about this weekend, please note that there are planned works taking place on certain parts of the network.

Our TfL Go app will help you plan your journey and show you the quieter times to travel. It also shows how busy Tube stations are throughout the day.

The quieter times currently are:
  • Between 08:15 and 16:00 and after 17:30 on weekdays
  • Before noon and after 18:00 on weekends
Customers must continue to wear a face covering on our services and in stations for the duration of their journey unless they are exempt, and may be refused entry or asked to leave for not doing so. This includes the Tube, bus, tram, DLR, London Overground and TfL Rail networks, Dial-a-Ride services, the Emirates Air Line and the Woolwich ferry.

We also expect and recommend the continued use of face coverings in taxis and private hire vehicles by both drivers and passengers unless they are exempt.

We are very grateful to the overwhelming majority of customers who have been complying with this requirement.

Please keep washing or sanitising your hands to help everyone stay safe. You can find out more about what we are doing to keep our services clean.

The National Lottery's ParalympicsGB Homecoming event

If you are travelling to the event at The SSE Arena, Wembley, please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey as there are planned closures on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines on Sunday.

Staff will be available to ensure that accessible journeys, including step-free routes to the event are available via the Bakerloo line. Travel to Baker Street using the Jubilee line for step-free transfer between the Jubilee and Bakerloo lines. Then continue to Willesden Junction on the Bakerloo line.

Before and after the event, a free accessible shuttle bus service will operate between Willesden Junction and The SSE Arena, Wembley. Step-free routes are also available using the Jubilee line replacement bus services JL1 and JL2, which will be serving Wembley Park station.

You can also use Chiltern Railways services between Marylebone and Wembley Stadium station between 12:00 and 18:30. Please be aware that interchange between Marylebone Underground station and Marylebone mainline station is not step-free.

For full details and public transport map to help plan your journey, visit our website or call 0343 222 1234 (charges may apply). Lines are open every day from 08:00 to 20:00.

Stratford High Street weight restrictions

A 7.5-ton weight restriction is being introduced on Stratford High Street as Thames Water begins a vital upgrade of the 160-year-old sewer Northern Outfall Sewer, which passes under the road along the line of the Greenway. At the western end of the high street, a temporary 7ft width restriction at the start of the eastbound Bow flyover means vehicles over 7.5t need to divert at Bow roundabout and on to the diversion route via the A12.

The temporary limits came into force in August. The 7.5 tonne weight limit, along with a new temporary 20mph speed limit, will be enforced by traffic cameras, and will be in place for up to 30 months. You can find full details of the diversion on One.Network.
