Don’t miss the final weeks of our family-friendly interactive exhibition all about colour. Peer through a giant eyeball to learn how your eye sees colour, discover what different colours make you feel in the Mood Room, find out what paintings are really made from and create your own masterpiece using an art machine.

The Lore of the Land

The first exhibition in our new arts space, The Studio, explores our deep-rooted relationship with the natural world. Co-curated by members of the local community and artist Serena Korda, the exhibition will include a new installation, a soundscape based on the chemical processes in plants and many rarely seen objects from the Horniman's anthropology collection. Find out more.

October Half Term
Monday 22 - Friday 26 October

Entertain the whole family during half term at the Horniman. Make an animal puppet or a bat headdress in free art and craft sessions, decorate your own pumpkin in a workshop, take part in activities to boost your wellbeing at our Big Wednesday Autumn Colours event, and handle real museum objects in our Hands on Base. Find out more.

Fiendish fun and Halloween happenings fill the Horniman over two exciting days.
