Royal Collection Trust - Royal weddings at Windsor Castle

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on their wedding day (c) PA
October may not be known typically as wedding season, but it is for us this year. Princess Eugenie married Mr Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel on 12 October, and just a few weeks later on 26 October the outfits from our first royal wedding of the year, between Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle, will be on display at Windsor Castle.

TRAIL
After Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank's wedding, we take a look back at dresses which former brides chose for their own wedding day.

Often the dress worn by the bride is reflective of contemporary fashion and the bride's personal style, we see this not only in Princess Eugenie's low back and full pleated skirt, but also further back in history, when Queen Victoria wore a plain court dress with a lace flounce.
