Friday Late Launch Event: Prize for Illustration 2015 exhibition
Friday 15 May 
Enjoy the Prize for Illustration 2015: London Places and Spacesexhibition after hours at our special Friday Late launch event which will take place on the evening of 15 May 2015. Relax with a glass of Pimm's in an indoor mini park; create a pop-out postcard featuring iconic London buildings and listen to talks about different places and spaces. There will also be film screenings, quizzes, talks, live music and bars and a 2-for-1 special offer on glasses of Pimm's.

Get inspired by our new illustration exhibition London Places and Spaces 2015 then take part in one of our daily drawing workshops, where children can produce their own artwork showing a London landmark or special place. Our new All Aboard family play zone will also be open, where little ones can get in the driver's seat of a real bus, repair a mini Tube train and play in the 'Lost Property' office.

From Wednesday 20 May
We've teamed up to create a special combined riverboat and Museum ticket package. Families and visitors will be able to enjoy a scenic trip on the river and catch the latest exhibitions with one single ticket from 20 May 2015. Children can also play on the recently opened All Aboard family play zone with its very own 'Thames Nipper' boat. You can book online from 20 May on the Thames Clippers website.

Artist and award-winning illustrator Ruth Hydes has designed four posters titled London’s Open Spaces, which you may have noticed recently on the public transport network. Each poster shows a different side of London outdoors and celebrates the diversity and heritage of this great city. The posters are the second Transport Poster Art Project commission by London Transport Museum and is sponsored by Clear Channel.

Geoff Marshall from Londonist will entertain the audience with stories about his 13 year quest to become the Guinness World Record holder for travelling in the fastest time around the whole of the London Underground. Find out how he gained and lost the world record twice and the life lessons he has learned along the way in this hilarious and thought provoking show.
