Man Up is the brilliant new comedy about taking chances - Films in London

Nancy is 34, single, and spends a lot of time recovering from the night before. Whilst fending off a nearly permanent hangover, Nancy also has to battle away her well-meaning friends, whose numerous unsubtle attempts to match-make are now getting a little old. Exhausted from a seemingly endless series of dates with various bachelors that she couldn’t be less suited to, Nancy has grown weary of the dating game. But when she travels to London to celebrate her parents’ wedding anniversary, Nancy somehow finds herself on a date with 40-year-old divorcee, Jack. Still healing the wounds of his recent divorce, Jack mistakes Nancy for a 24-year-old woman he was expecting to have a blind date with. In a moment of madness, Nancy finds herself on a date with Jack, instead of doing the rational thing and setting the story straight. What follows is an unconventional (and chaotic) evening of romance, drinking, lost divorce papers, a brief stint of indoor competitive sports and a brush with a former crush who’s just crawled out of the woodwork… all before Jack ever discovers who Nancy really is. Simon Pegg (Star Trek: Into Darkness, The World’s End) stars as Jack alongside Lake Bell (In a World…, Million Dollar Arm) in this unconventional rom-com.
