Summer is finally here and flowers across the Gardens are in full bloom. The Great Broad Walk Borders are bursting with colour, lining the path from the Orangery to the Palm House pond.

Don’t miss the newly reopened Temperate House, the world’s greatest glasshouse. Cirque Bijou's production of Harmonic, a one-of-a-kind visual spectacle, takes place every weekend surrounded by 10,000 plants and blending aerial performance with a unique musical score. Harmonic explores biodiversity and the relationship between humans and plants.

What's in bloom
The Gardens are looking great in the summer sunshine, these are a few of our highlights.

Based on a site formerly used to grow produce for George III, Kew's Kitchen Garden was voted 'most inspirational vegetable garden 2016' by the Great British Growing Awards. In the summer months, see strawberries, heritage varieties of carrot (including purple and yellow), gooseberries, garlic, and French beans.

Rock Garden
The original Rock Garden was built in 1882 and designed to resemble a Pyrenean mountain valley. The half-hectare site includes a central bog garden and cascade. Moist gullies, water features and other special environments to allow for the cultivation of a variety of plants.

This area of the Gardens shows how plants relate to each other, with 102 separate beds displaying 93 plant families. Discover the typical characteristics as well as the diversity of each plant family including the Rose pergola which reaches its peak in June.
