Rooftop Film Club - "I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her."

Cheesy Lines, Check. Heatwave, Check.

At rooftop we're kind of suckers for cheesy film lines. The more cringeworthy the better. You'd better be prepared for the onslaught when we pay tribute to the incredible Julia Roberts, screening Pretty Woman & Notting Hill in July.

The sun is out in London, and there's only a few tickets left for Back to the Future Part II & Spice World tonight. Appropriately themed clothing highly encouraged.

Read on to learn about some of our top picks from the July programme, the World Cup of Cinema and a special preview screening.

See you on the roof!

July's Top Picks

Whitney: Preview Screening

4th July, Bussey Building
We're putting on a special pre-release screening of the Whitney Houston biopic that critics are calling this year's Amy. Including archive footage and powerful interviews with family members and Bobby Brown. This is one not to miss.

Deadpool 2

13th July, Bussey Building
When they put 'from the studio that killed Wolverine' on the poster you knew this was going to be another wise-cracking, 4th wall-smashing superhero film. If you haven't seen the first, just imagine a really meta Batman.

Science(ish) presents Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

27th July, Bussey Building
We're excited to welcome Dr Michael Brooks and Rick Edwards from Science(ish) to the roof for a special pre-screening introduction and Q&A before the latest instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise.
Can we actually re-create dinosaurs? Is that a good idea? Is Jeff Goldblum the coolest man alive? All this and more will be answered for you.

Pretty Woman & Notting Hill

9th & 10th July, Queen of Hoxton
