Wellcome Collection - Friday Late Spectacular: Handle with Care - Free Event

Wellcome Collection

Friday 6 July
19.00–23.00

Join us at our next Friday Late Spectacular to explore what it means to care, to be cared for, to be caring, to be a carer.

Has the widespread language of care been hijacked by institutions that are far from caring? What effect does the digital era have on our capacity to care?

Enjoy art, performance, conversation and cocktails as we consider how we handle ourselves, each other and our world with care.

In collaboration with Lois Weaver, programme highlights include:
  • Take part in and listen to Care Radio with BBC presenters. Broadcast live across the building and streamed online.
  • Join Stacy Makishi for Malama Maki for cheeky ritual and ancient rock’n’roll witchcraft to care for your soul.
  • Immerse yourself in performance art exploring the aesthetics of care at Could I Care Less?
  • Join an informal Care Café discussion in the Reading Room.

This a free drop-in event but some activities with a limited capacity will be ticketed. Tickets available from 29 June. The bar will be open all night. Join the Facebook event.
