Culture Whisper

This seminal exhibition invites you to explore the complex relationship between fashion and nature from 1600 to the present day. Over 300 beautiful, intriguing and unsettling objects highlight fashion’s dependence on the riches of nature for inspiration, energy and raw materials.

Designs from Calvin Klein to Stella McCartney show how contemporary designers are creating exciting sustainable fashion. Marvel at groundbreaking fabrics made from wine industry waste, recycled shoreline plastic and even a dress made from plant roots.

Fashioned from Nature provokes questions on how the industry and we, as consumers, can contribute to a vibrant but more responsible fashion system that respects, protects and celebrates the natural world.
