In celebration of our major autumn exhibition You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970, join us for a weekend of free music, events and activities inspired by the ‘swinging’ sixties. Kicking off with a one-day international symposium, the weekend is filled with events including a live performance from Beatie Wolf & The Pack, the London premiere of John Lennon's 1964 book In His Own Write, a pop-up recording studio hosted by Levis®, a Revolutionary Reading Room, as well as a host of family events.

This one-day international conference will explore how the social, cultural and political dynamic changes enacted in the late 1960s continue to impact on our world today. Topics include: pop, politics, performance art, the birth of cyber culture, the uses of hallucinogenic drugs and activism. Read more and book

A special performance from 12 young people who’ve been mentored by Skepta as part of the Levi’s® Music Project, in his hometown of Tottenham. The performance is inspired by our exhibition You Say Want A Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970, celebrating the counterculture revolution of the sixties and how it’s influenced the modern day. See the performance live at the Museum. Very limited ticket availability, first come first served. Book now

MEET THE REBELS

Meet some of the key protagonists who helped define the counterculture movement of the late 1960s and revolutionised society. From the founder of drugs support charity RELEASE and life-long feminist, Caroline Coon, to the co-founder of the UFO club on London’s Tottenham Court Road, Joe Boyd, and musician and anti-Vietnam War activist, Country Joe McDonald. Watch now
