If you could write a message to the future, what would it be?

Ever realised that bacteria engage in banter?

Imagine being truly lost for words…how would you feel?

Explore a playground of activities, ideas and conversations inspired by language and enjoy a feast for the senses of live music, dance and performance. From ‘spy speak’, back chat and animal languages of love to artificial intelligence, film and flowers, you can play with words, lose your senses, solve a mystery and take part in cutting edge research before taking home the work of internationally acclaimed emerging artists at the Slade Print Fair.

Surround yourself with Egypt's ancient languages at ourPetrie Museum and the roar of the animal kingdom at the Grant Museum.

The full programme can be seen on the Festival website and they're also available at the event.
