Secure your ticket now for the brilliant 1920s Jazz Age Fashion & Photographs exhibition. 'If you have even a passing interest in fashion - there really are some absolutely gorgeous clothes', says Jane Garvey in her review of the exhibition on BBCR4 Woman's Hour this week.
Over 150 garments, from Paris to London, sportswear to silk pyjamas, fringed flapper dresses to velvet capes, reveal the modernity of the decade. Colourful illustrations by Gordon Conway from the Illustrated London News Archive at Mary Evans and photographs by Abbe, Beaton, Man Ray, and Baron de Meyer highlight the role of the media in promoting the 1920s look.
