Weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 10-11 September. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

The Tour of Britain is taking place on Sunday 11 September. Road closures will be in place in central London from 03:00 until 23:00, in particular in the Whitehall and Westminster areas, including Regent Street, Trafalgar Square and Aldwych. Waterloo Bridge will be partly closed. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Tube and rail will be the best way to get around central London on the day, although stations close to the route will be busier than usual. Buses in and around the event area will be diverted or will stop short of their normal destination. A number of Santander Cycles docking stations will also be out of service. There will be no service between Archway and High Barnet/Mill Hill East. This is to allow for track replacement work at Finchley Central. |

There will be no service between the following stations on Saturday and Sunday: |
| • | Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, for Network Rail infrastructure work |
| • | Liverpool Street and Enfield Town /Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters)/Chingford, for Network Rail track work |
|
On Sunday, trains will not run between Willesden Junction and Camden Road, via West Hampstead, for Network Rail infrastructure work.

Until February 2017, there are closures on the Gospel Oak to Barking line as follows: |
| • | Trains will not run between South Tottenham and Barking for the entire period |
| • | At weekends, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking |

There will be no service between Bank and Tower Gateway to Poplar/West India Quay on Saturday and Sunday. This is for track work.

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:
Neasden - From 22:00 tonight, Thursday, until December, temporary traffic lights and lane closures will be in place on Harrow Road at the junction of the A406. This is for signal modernisation works.
Wembley - From 15:00 until midnight on Saturday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including the A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.
Central London - From 04:00 on Saturday until 04:00 on Monday, Piccadilly Underpass will be closed due to the installation of media screens.
Blackheath - Between 21:30 and 23:30 on Saturday and Sunday, roads in the area including Lewisham Hill, Mounts Pond Road, and Goffers Road will be closed. This is for an event. Hare and Billet Road is currently closed and will reopen at 20:00 on Monday.
Central London - From 22:00 until 22:30 on Saturday, and 21:30 until 23:00 on Sunday, the following closures may be in place: Park Lane between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner, and the eastbound slip road from Knightsbridge to Hyde Park Corner. This is for an event.
Hackney - From 08:00 until 22:00 on Sunday, roads in the area will be closed, including Dalston Lane, Queensbridge Road, Richmond Road, and Mare Street. This is for a parade.

| • | South Quay West, Wansey Street and High Holborn, for building works |
| • | South Kensington Tube station for utility works |
| • | Upper Richmond Road for electrical installations |
| • | Speakers’ Corner 1 & 2 and Cumberland Gate for concerts in Hyde Park |
