Museum of London - 40 years of punk and October events
What's on in October?
The Museum of London's celebration of 40 years of punk closes with our new display Punks. In a move away from the big names associated with the movement, the museum invited everyday punks to share their tales and lend or donate items, from handmade mixtape sleeves and DIY fanzines to the radical clothes sold on King's Road.
Find out what went on behind the scenes to create this ambitious exhibition with curator Meriel Jeater, the museum conservator Rebecca Lang and the exhibition designers Katherine Skellon and Ingrid Hu.
Entertain the kids throughout the week with free arts and crafts activities available at both the Museum of London and Museum of London Docklands or spend the night in our galleries at a spooky Halloween sleepover.
Get your glowsticks out for a family-friendly rave with DJ Aston Harvey in our Georgian warehouse. Everyone from the smallest swashbuckler to the biggest buccaneer will enjoy the multi-sensory dancefloor delights.
