Thursday 8th September: Patchwork Skies

Patchwork Skies
Patchwork Skies are a folksy duo; Charlie and Emma bring two vocals, two acoustic guitars and a flute to the mix and write their own music inspired by folk and country genres. Currently based in London and Norwich, they have performed in various venues around the UK for the past 3 years and have just recorded and released their first ever EP - "Go Outside".

Friday 9th September:  Rupert Wates

Rupert Wates
All original, acoustic melodic art/folk with flavors of jazz and vaudeville. Rupert Wates was born in London and has been based in the US since 2006. He's the winner of over 30 songwriting awards.

The Troubadour London Celebrates The Music Of Django Reinhardt Featuring the talents of John Wheatcroft, The Phil Grispo Orchestra, along with very special guests. Gypsy Jazz at its finest. Join us as we celebrate one of the greatest guitarists of all time and get your swing on with a dose of Djangology!

John Wheatcroft seamlessly integrates the sound of modern jazz with the timeless Franco-American swing of Django Reinhardt, producing a sound that is rooted in the traditions of the genre - vital, forward thinking and highly original.
Sunday 11th September:  Jazz Sessions
The Troubadour presents Jazz Sessions, featuring The Troubadour Jazz band. The Troubadour's Jazz Sessions offer a wide range of Jazz music and outstanding musicians from all over the globe. Standards with a twist, improvisations, new compositions, all things Jazz every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month.
Joanna Shiel (PIANIST AND VOCALIST)
Joanna is a jazz pianist and vocalist from and based in London. Her range of style extends from classical, jazz, folk and blues through to world and latin jazz making her a versatile and interesting performer. Trained in jazz piano performance at LCCM (London Centre of Contemporary Music) under direction from Roland Perrin (Piano) and David O'Higgins (Saxophone), Joanna is an accomplished musician and has performed throughout the UK, Brazil and China.  Joanna is also an accomplished educator, introducing music to young people throughout the world through interactive, activity led workshops most notably in Shanghai, China and London, UK.

DEREK DAYLEY (BASS/DOUBLE BASS)
Derek is a Caribbean born electric, double bassist and accomplished drummer currently based in London. He is a student of jazz performance at the London Centre of Contemporary Music Trained under Jeoff Gascoyne(Bass). Derek is a career session musician, teacher and arranger, working with artists such as Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran among others. He is well versed in a range of musical styles having gained experience touring extensively throughout Europe and America performing musical styles including folk, jazz, hip-hop,rock, E.D.M, reggae and metal.  Derek boasts over fifteen years of performance and five years teaching experience at age twenty-three, some of his more notable awards include Young musician of the year (ACM), Student of the year award (BANM - British Academy of Music).
Jean-Loup Didelot (DRUMS)
Jean-Loup is a versatile drummer and percussionist from Geneva, Switzerland now based in London. Jean-Loup is an accomplished musician on drums and percussion, having studied jazz drum performance at the London Centre of Contemporary Music playing in many styles from classical to jazz, reggae to hip-hop. Jean-Loup has many years performing experience playing in over 250 concerts in several notable venues throughout Switzerland, France and the UK.  As well as drums and percussion, Jean-Loup is also an experienced keyboard and bass player as well as arranger and DJ.
