| | RETRACING STRAND'S STEPS IN LUZZARA
To celebrate the exhibition, we made a short visit to Luzzara in the northern Italian countryside where Strand made one of his most celebrated photographs, The Family, Luzzara (The Lusettis), 1953. Led by Curator Martin Barnes we retraced Strand’s steps and visited the sites of his photographs, whilst meeting some of the people in the area that were photographed by Strand at the time, including Angela Secchi (Farmers Daughter, Luzzara, 1953).
