Buskers audition to play on London Underground

Busking was once seen as a way of life for only amateurs and eccentrics.

Now it can be a route into the music industry for ambitious young performers - a sign that the trade is becoming increasingly professionalised.

In London, X-Factor style auditions are being held to allow musicians to compete for the opportunity to play on the underground. Arts Editor Will Gompertz reports.
