SUMMER HOLIDAYS ACTIVITIES
Different events run daily in August, various times

Enjoy the John Madejski Garden this August and be inspired by the new summer installation by Mexican architect Frida Escobedo. Join the Imagination Station activity on Mondays – Fridays in August and on Sunday 30 August (10.30 – 17.00), and use it to draw unusual views of the Museum and its surroundings. On Sunday 23 August create architectural drawings with professionals from architectural practice Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and the Drop-in Design team.

NEW CURIOUS CERAMICS SENSORY BACK-PACK
Available daily, 10.30-17.00 (last pack given out at 16.00)

Explore the Museum with fantastic stories, games and multi-sensory materials. Choose from our range of Back-Packs, or for the under 5s, an Agent Animal bag. New for August, try the Curious Ceramics Sensory Back-Pack. Discover curious ceramic objects from China to the Netherlands, learn how they were made and how ideas and materials travelled the world to reach Europe. This back-pack is designed for children with visual impairments, but can be enjoyed by any family.

CHUSEOK: KOREAN HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL
Sunday 13 September, 11.00 – 17.00

Join us to celebrate Chuseok, the Korean Harvest Festival with traditional music, games, storytelling, kite making, the chance to try on Koren costume and take part in a K-Pop dance workshop.

V&A WEEKENDS
Saturdays and Sundays, various times 

Join Pop-Up PerformanceSaturdays in September and find out 'How the Mice Got Rid of the Cats' in an interactive, storytelling performance of a traditional tale from the Middle East or dress up and dance in 'Rock, Pop and Charming', a fun costume and drama workshop. On Sundays inDrop-in Design, become inspired by the Museum’s weird and wonderful inventions and design and make a prototype of your own Incredible Invention. Or search the Museum for unusual letters, to create your own Marvellous Monogram masterpiece!

POP-UP PERFORMANCE BSL EVENT
Saturday 22 August, 11.00, 13.00 & 15.00

We provide BSL interpretation of performances especially for families. They are highly visual with many opportunities for joining in. Matt, our signer, takes part in the action, interacting with the performers during the show, as well as with the audience. Join award winning African Storyteller Usifu Jalloh in the lively performance of ‘The Man who Chew his Way around the World’.

THE BIG DRAW
Saturdays 10 & 17 and Sundays 11 & 18 October

Join us to celebrate the Big Draw. On Saturdays 10 & 17 October Pop-up Performance presents ‘Peter Rabbit & Friends’, brought to you by No Nonsense Theatre at 11.00, 13.00 & 15.00 in Paintings, Room 87. On Sundays 11 & 18 October join Drop-in Design to Create Your Own Magical Hat inspired by the book ‘Clara Button and the Magical Hat Day’ from 10.30 – 17.00 in the Lunchroom. Performances on 17 October BSL interpreted.

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and stories of India. Take part in dance, music, storytelling, digital activities and art workshops for all the family. Special Diwali celebrations and performances will also be taking place during the week on Monday 26 – Friday 30 October.
